What you'll be doing

In this role you will lead the Human Experience portfolio for WSLHD, driving systems and strategies to improve patient, carer, and consumer experience. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading patient and carer experience initiatives
  • Implementing systems aligned with national standards
  • Driving service improvements using experience data
  • Collaborating across teams to embed human-centred care
  • Championing the Elevating Human Experience framework

  1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours which reinforce the CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders, colleagues, direct reports, as well as patient, carers and consumers.
  2. Tertiary qualification in a related discipline or equivalent experience in leadership in patient and carer experience, project management in healthcare environment, or a combination of work and study.
  3. Demonstrated experience in patient, carer and consumer experience program development, implementation and management in a healthcare setting.
  4. Demonstrated analysis of complex issues at senior management level and a track record of formulating new approaches, leading change programs and improvement strategies that resulted in significant improvements in healthcare delivery.
  5. Strong understanding of contemporary issues, challenges and directions for human, patient, carer and consumer experience within NSW Health and broader national and international domains.
  6. Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills, consultation, negotiation, facilitation, presentation, consensus building and stakeholder management skills
  7. Demonstrated high level written communication skills with the capacity to produce comprehensive service and strategic reports and directions.
  8. Current Drivers Licence valid in Australia.
