Out of Home Care - Liaison Nurse

Essential Criteria:

Registration: Current Registered Nurse Division 1 with APHRA

Selection Criteria:

1. Minimum of three (3) years post-registration experience appropriate to performing the role of a Clinical Nurse Specialist Level 2 for children and young people in out of home care

2. Demonstrated currency of practice and competence in assessing children and their families in relation to their health and social needs including an understanding of and commitment to Families NSW principles

3. Demonstrated high level communication, liaison, networking and negotiation skills

4. Demonstrated thorough understanding and ability to implement the principles of primary health care and work in partnership with families

5. Demonstrated experience and knowledge working collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and with other service providers including Child and Family nurses, Allied health staff, General Practitioners, Child and Family Health Tertiary referral services

6. Demonstrated ability to work independently whilst maintaining high level time management, problem solving, interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
