What you'll be doing
The Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) plays a critical leadership role, ensuring safe patient care, effective ward operations and team development in a paediatric setting. NUM experience is recommended. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Leading safe, high-quality paediatric patient care
- Managing staff, resources and daily ward operations
- Driving quality improvement and performance outcomes
- Fostering a culture of learning and best practice
- Building strong internal and external partnerships

Essential Criteria:
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Selection Criteria:
- Extensive experience in paediatric nursing, at least 5 years.
- Demonstrates management experience with excellent team leadership, problem solving, change management and organisational skills.
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills to provide timely and accurate information.
- Demonstrates ability to negotiate resolutions and manage conflict.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate clinical services and manage change.
- Adaptable and capable of utilising a broad range of electronic patient management systems
- Demonstrates the ability to manage the available resources to meet the needs of the service
- Proven ability to work autonomously and lead other senior staff to achieve a shared purpose
