We’re looking for a dedicated Nurse Educator to lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of postgraduate training and development programs at WSLHD. Join us in supporting the career growth of nurses and midwives through innovative education initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating WSLHD’s GradStart program and Aboriginal nursing cadetships
- Designing and evaluating comprehensive transition to practice programs
- Collaborating with key education and clinical teams across WSLHD
- Ensuring timely delivery of all training programs
- Supporting the professional development of nurses and midwives within WSLHD

Essential Criteria:
- Qualification: Registered Nurse with relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
- Registration: Division 1 Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Selection Criteria:
- Recent experience in the development, delivery, and evaluation of a comprehensive nursing/midwifery education program across a Local Health District, a sector of a Local Health District or in a tertiary referral public hospital or affiliated health organisation.
- Experience using a variety of education modalities across a diverse audience, with demonstrated positive results.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing change in a diverse clinical education environment, with examples of effective stakeholder engagement across a broad group of teams.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects in a timely manner and meet set deliverables within stated timeframes.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work in a consultative manner and to supervise other educators and trainers.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
- Current valid NSW Drivers licence including P1 or above and/or the ability to work across WSLHD facilities.
