Essential Criteria:
Vaccination Category: A High Risk
Checks: National Police Check & Working with Children Check
Qualification: Relevant Tertiary Qualifications or equivalent
Registration: Registered as a General Nurse – Division 1 and holds a current practicing certificate authorised by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.

Selection Criteria:
1. Registered Nurse with AHPRA and registered to work at an advanced practice level as a Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA. Or working towards Board-approved NP qualification at Master’s level, with a view to endorsement within 24 months.
2. Demonstrated high level knowledge and advanced clinical neonatal nursing skills including comprehensive assessment, interpretation of diagnostics, implementation of treatment modalities and relevant referral skills applied to a broad range of challenging, complex and changing situations.
3. Demonstrated understanding of the neonatal care delivery system and ability to lead and implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice by the initiation, utilisation and review of evidence based research.
4. Proven high level knowledge and expertise in complex client centred consultancy, practice development activities including mentoring education, active participation in communities of practice, policy development and quality improvement.
5. Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability while also working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary and multi service environment.
6. Ability to provide clinical leadership, in terms of leading practice, being responsible for leading a service and taking responsibility for the practice of others.
7. Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of clinical settings and proven high level of self-efficacy.
