What you'll be doing
Join a dedicated team delivering acute mental health care to people experiencing homelessness in the community. Work collaboratively to support recovery, improve services, and drive systemic change. You will be responsible for:
- Delivering evidence-based assessments, crisis care and treatment
- Collaborating with families, carers, GPs and other agencies
- Leading care planning, advocacy and coordinated support
- Participating in service improvement, evaluation and education
- Maintaining quality documentation, safety standards and teamwork

Essential Requirements:
- Qualifications: Relevant Tertiary qualification as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist
- Registration: Full Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist or Occupational Therapist, Or eligibility to be a member of AASW for Social Workers
Selection Criteria:
- Experience and clinical skills in community mental health triage, comprehensive assessments, including risk and safety planning as well as experience in provision of collaborative care and discharge planning
- Understanding of Mental Health/ Psychiatry service/ crisis work and ability to work with in a demanding crisis/acute management service.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with consumers/carers/families and has experience working with families who are coping with Mental Health Illness.
- Highly developed interpersonal communications skills, effective verbal, written and negotiation skills and intermediate computer skills.
- Experience and knowledge in acute mental health intervention, early intervention, and CALD issues.
- Understanding of the recovery philosophy and trauma informed care in Mental Health with the ability to implement these in clinical practice.
- Understanding of NSW Mental Health Act (2007).
- Current NSW Drivers Licence (P2 acceptable) and willing to use it for work purpose.
