Qualifications: Diversional Therapist with Diploma
Selection Criteria:
- Must hold a Diploma in leisure, recreation or diversional therapy recognised by the Diversional Therapy Association of Australian National Council, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Demonstrated skills and/or experience in developing, implementing and evaluating appropriate leisure and recreation activity group programs for older people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs of the CACC client group - persons with complex, chronic and/or aged conditions.
- Demonstrated understanding and/or experience working with persons from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- High-level written and oral communication skills, computer competence and ability to use electronic medical records, word processing and databases.
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain same
- Current drivers license valid in Australia willingness to use for work purposes.
