Essential Criteria:

  • Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria:

  1. Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency  (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse Division 1, with a minimum five years full time equivalent post registration experience, with a minimum of three years full-time experience in the specialty field. In addition the employee must have approved post graduate nursing qualifications relevant to the field in which appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by WSLHD or working towards same.
  2. Demonstrated ability to provide an expert client-centred consultancy practice participating in direct patient care provisions.
  3. Act as an exemplary role model by living the organisations values; while providing effective leadership through direction, coaching and demonstrating expert knowledge, complex decision-making skills, and clinical competencies to practice at an advanced or expanded level.
  4. Contribute to the development and management of clinical processes such as policies and procedures with demonstrated ability to access, read and interpret research findings in current literature.
  5. Demonstrated excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with all levels of staff within a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Demonstrates high level capabilities in critical thinking and problem solving, with higher order conflict resolution and negotiation abilities
  7. Demonstrate ability to provide education on complex clinical issues to clinicians, patients and carers, with demonstrated participation in formal and informal education programs with ability to identify educational needs for the organisation.
  8. Current Drivers Licence: Licence Class C.
