Selection Criteria:
- Relevant tertiary level qualifications in data analytics and/or experience in data extraction, reporting and analysis in the healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated experience with computerized clinical information systems, and knowledge of the different patient streams.
- Demonstrated understanding of casemix principles, classifications, clinical costing, and the processes surrounding the provision of patient care.
- Understanding of health funding methodologies.
- Demonstrated computer skills required to manipulate and analyse large amounts of data using software such as MS-Access, MS-Excel, SQL, Minitab or Qlik.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and consult effectively and work with staff at all levels.
- Ability to problem-solve, prioritize workload and meet deadlines, both autonomously and within a team in an environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to research, undertake and prepare written reports and reviews for new and existing business processes including the ability to develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPI).
