Selection Criteria

• Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and possess Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetics or equivalent as provided for in the Health Services Act 1997.
• Must have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency.
• Sound clinical knowledge in the practice of Anaesthesia, demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
• Demonstrated skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner including:
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervision

• Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support basic, applied or clinical research within the Department.
• Recent clinical experience in centre accredited for ANZCA fellowship trainees or equivalent.
• Maintenance of professional standards as per ANZCA Maintenance of Professional Standards.
• Participates in continuing professional development and peer review relevant to paediatric anaesthesia.
