Selection Criteria
Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and possess or be eligible for Fellowship of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) or The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award. Must have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency. Applications from those expected to receive Fellowship within 6 months would be considered.
Sound clinical knowledge in Nuclear Medicine, PET and Ultrasound demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
Possess or be eligible to receive an Environment Protection Authority (EPA) Radiation Licence.
Demonstrated skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner including: High level interpersonal and communication skills; Demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team; Experience and involvement in quality assurance activities, and; Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervision.
Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support basic, applied or clinical research within the Department.
Must have completed core advanced training in Nuclear Medicine.
Commitment to teaching and research.
Able to provide on-call services.
