Selection Criteria

• Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia, possess a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) or equivalent as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award and have completed a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology., Applicants who are European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR) certified and/ or have completed Fellowship in Breast Radiology will be highly regarded.

• Must have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency; however,  applications from non-residents may be considered if there are no eligible Australian applicants.

• Current re-certification statement or certificate from the RANZCR and evidence of Continuing Professional Development and self-monitoring/audit practices that support credentialing to the position and are commensurate with the scope of practice requirements of the position

• Sound clinical knowledge in Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position i.e. Preference will be given to Radiologists who have completed an Interventional Radiology Fellowship.

• Demonstrated skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical  Practitioner including:

  • High level interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Experience and involvement in quality assurance activities and evidence-based best practice.

  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervision.

• Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support basic, applied or clinical research within the Department.
