What you'll be doing
Join our Cardiology Department as an Administrative Support Officer, providing efficient administrative services across multiple roles to support both clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Rotating across various administrative positions within the department.
- Managing patient appointments and data entry.
- Providing reception services to patients and the public.
- Ensuring timely, accurate billing for all department procedures.
- Adhering to all health policies and maintain confidentiality.
How to Apply
Selection Criteria:
- Proven experience in a customer service environment.
- Evidence of high level verbal and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and also as part of multidisciplinary team.
- Expertise in computer skills, proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Patient Management Systems (iPMs, Surginet, PowerChart and Cerner) and other standard Health Service applications including but not limited to HPE Content Manager, AFM Online and SARA.
- Demonstrated understanding of inpatient and outpatient billing using a Medicare system.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads.
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative with excellent problem solving skills.
- Ability to analyse and interpret information accurately and identify issues of sensitivity and confidentiality, including the ability to use discretion in knowing when to escalate matters of importance and/or urgency.
