What you'll be doing
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is seeking a dedicated and proactive Project Officer to lead the implementation of systems, processes, and cultural change initiatives that integrate the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards into all aspects of business and operational practice, ensuring sustained compliance.
Working in close collaboration with the WSLHD Quality and Accreditation Team and NSQHS Standard Leads, the Project Officer will support and empower staff through this transition. This role plays a key part in building clinical quality improvement capacity by assisting clinical leaders and managers to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical practice and maintaining compliance with the NSQHS Standards.

- Relevant qualifications in a health-related field and/or demonstrated project management experience.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines within scheduled timeframes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clinicians across various professions (allied health, nursing, medical).
- High level written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated experience in preparing and presenting information/data to various levels of the organisation such as clinicians, senior managers and executives.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate education tailored to the needs of diverse audiences, including clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring the content is engaging, relevant, and aligned with organisational goals.
- Experience in supporting teams/organisations prepare for accreditation against the NSQHS Standards.
