Remuneration: $56.68 - $58.52 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

What you'll be doing

  • The Level 3 Palliative Care Physiotherapist will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality physiotherapy services to patients within the Palliative Care Unit of Auburn Hospital. They will apply advanced reasoning skills, and work within a multidisciplinary team to manage client groups and circumstances of a complex nature.
  • Responsible for contributing to the planning, implementation, evaluation, improvement and reporting of the physiotherapy service at the facility level.
  • This position is part of the broader Physiotherapy department and may be required to assist with the provision of services to other areas of the facility.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualification:  Appropriate Australian Physiotherapy Council  Tertiary Recognised Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Registration: AHPRA Physiotherapist Registration 

 

Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy, current Physiotherapy Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Significant experience in Physiotherapy, with substantial experience working with patients receiving palliative management or end of life care
  3. Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision and teaching of staff and students
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including networking, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  5. Excellent time management and organisational skills
  6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and experience in leading Quality Improvement Initiatives including design, implementation and evaluation and implementing Evidence Based practice
  7. Demonstrated experience in the development of clinical physiotherapy policies and procedures and/or guidelines
