What you'll be doing 
As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you’ll provide expert assessments and therapeutic interventions to support recovery for consumers with complex mental health needs. You’ll lead group programs, supervise junior staff, and contribute to multidisciplinary care planning.
Deliver individual and group therapy programs tailored to diverse needs
Conduct comprehensive functional and occupational assessments
Supervise Level 1/2 Occupational Therapists and support team development
Collaborate in multidisciplinary reviews and contribute to service improvement
Engage consumers in planning and education to enhance recovery outcomes

Essential Requirements:
License: NSW Drivers License 
Qualifications:  Appropriate professional qualification in Occupational Therapy with current full registration under APHRA as a practising Occupational Therapy within NSW 
Registration: AHPRA Occupational Therapist 
Selection Criteria:
Substantial experience working in mental health preferably in an acute setting
Experience in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating therapeutic groups
Ability to be self-motivated, operate autonomously and co-operatively within the team.
Experience in providing a range of Occupational therapy-based assessments and documenting these in clear professional and practical reports
Experience in working within a multidisciplinary team cooperatively to establish clear care plans with complementarily goals in a recovery-oriented model.
Good oral and written communication skills for clinical documentation and advocacy as an Occupational Therapist
Utilisation of a person-centred approach in working with consumers and carers to maximise holistic and recovery-oriented outcomes
Demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), including its principles, eligibility criteria, and planning models to support safe and coordinated hospital discharge planning
