Essential Criteria:
Vaccination: A
Criminal Record Check: National Check, Working with Children Check
Qualification: Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working as a Public Health or Infection Control Nurse
Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated high level knowledge of current issues in communicable disease and experience in communicable disease control
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor other staff
- Demonstrated high level organisational and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with the public, Health Professionals, Aged Care Facilities and other stakeholders external to the Public Health Unit
- Computer literacy including experience with Microsoft Office package and experience with computerised data management systems
- Currently holds a valid drivers license within Australia
