Qualifications: Accredited post-graduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology
Registration: Full registration as Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA and endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology, or eligibility to progress to endorsement
Selection Criteria:
- Accredited post-graduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology
- Extensive experience in working with parents and families with infants experiencing severe and complex parental psychosocial and mental health problems in the perinatal period with demonstrated knowledge of the impact of psychosocial and mental health problems on parenting, parent – infant relationships and infant development.
- Demonstrated advanced therapeutic skills in conducting complex psychosocial assessments and counselling with the ability to respond to the needs of vulnerable families (e.g. CALD) in stressful situations.
- Demonstrated clinical experience providing clinical consultation and facilitating case review, in the context of family centred casework within a community based multidisciplinary team.
- Substantial experience in developing and maintaining co-operative professional relationships, with other health teams, government and NGO agencies through the use of well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with high level time management, organisational skills and computer literacy.
- Current driver’s license valid in Australia and the willingness to use for work purposes
