What you'll be doing

Orange Health Service - Medical Imaging is looking for an experienced interventional radiologist to join our team. Current Interventional Radiologists provide a wide range of tier B procedures including peripheral vascular interventions, trauma vascular interventions, RF/microwave ablations, and general inpatient type interventional radiology.

You will also participate in a wide range of diagnostic reporting across all modalities with support from contracted services for subspecialty type reporting.

A variety of Full-time and Part-time roles will be considered, please indicate your preference within your application.

About the Unit
The Medical Imaging Department (MID) at Orange Health Service provides routine and emergency services to hospital inpatients as well as outpatients from the local and surrounding communities. We provide a range of modalities including x-ray, MRI, ultrasound and interventional radiology.

Our MID is part of the Western NSW LHD wide medical imaging business unit (MIBU), which allows for effective streamlining and sharing of resources.

1) Australian citizen or permanent resident, or eligible for sponsorship to work in Australia

2) Current Authority to Practice as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)/Medical Board of Australia, or eligibility for same. Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists

3) Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.

4) Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

5) Demonstrated technical and professional competence as a Consultant Radiologist, and in the specialty practice of Radiology, with clinical hospital experience within the last two years.

6) Demonstrated participation in, and commitment to quality assurance activities relevant to radiology practice.

7) Commitment to equitable participation in an on-call roster with other consultant radiologists, as required and as services develop.

8) Demonstrated ability to perform/report multi-modality diagnostic radiology studies, including MRI as well as competence to perform Tier A and Tier B interventional radiology procedures in an acute hospital setting.
