About the role
As a Senior Social Worker you will work closely with the medical, nursing, and allied health clinicians who work within the Older Persons Acute unit, while providing support, guidance, and supervision to junior Social Work team members.
You will be required to complete psycho-social assessments in a timely manner and support patients receiving all types of medical intervention and treatment within the system. The role requires you to participate in regular supervision and encouraged to take part in quality improvement projects.
You will have a broad knowledge and understanding of external service providers such as My aged Care, NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the NDIS.As part of a close knit team you will be supported and encouragement to undertake further professional development opportunities.
