About the role
Our goal to build 'healthier rural people and thriving communities' is the shared responsibility of all involved in care of our patients and the social worker is an integral and valued member of our team. You’ll be an important part of the multidisciplinary health care team and also work independently as a practitioner in the provision of the clinical service to provide high quality care.
You will provide high quality Specialist Generalist Social work activities within the rural setting of Parkes; to community and hospital clients in addition to outreach to surrounding areas. The Social Work Service is directed to “at risk groups” and provides therapeutic counselling, assessment, service coordination/care/treatment and management of complex situations. You will have the opportunity to work with candidates at various life stages, and no day will be the same!
