Senior Social Worker – Older Persons Acute Team

About the role

This is a permanent part time position for a Senior Social Worker working in the Older Person’s Acute Team based on the Bloomfield Campus of Orange Health Service.

The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with the medical, nursing and allied health clinicians that work within this unit. As well as providing support, guidance, and supervision to junior Social Work team members. You will have a broad knowledge and understanding of external service providers such as My aged Care, NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the NDIS.

As the senior Social Worker you will need to be able to complete psycho-social assessments in a timely manner and support patients receiving all types of medical intervention and treatment within the system. You will be expected to participate in regular supervision and encouraged to take part in quality improvement projects. You will also be supported to undertake professional development opportunities. 

Our Orange MHDA inpatient services are located at Bloomfield Hospital, a heritage-listed site and is part of the Orange Health Service, which is an integration of mainstream and mental health services on the one site.
