  1. A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience.
  2. Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent through parentage, identify as being Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be accepted in the community as such.  Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14 (d) of the Anti-discrimination Act 1997.
  3. Commitment to Aboriginal mental health and demonstrated understanding of the issues that impact on service delivery for Aboriginal people.
  4. Demonstrated experience in participating in research and/or service evaluation, including data collection to inform current and future practice.
  5. Ability to effectively use writing skills and technology for electronic communication, web based research, documentation of plans, preparation of reports and promotional material.
  6. Effective organisation, time management and prioritisation skills, with experience effectively managing competing demands to deliver on commitments and meet deadlines.
  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to understand their needs and effectively motivate engagement with potential solutions.
  8. Current licence to drive in NSW with the ability to drive regularly for work purposes, including occasional overnight stays.
