Senior Physiotherapist – Womens’ Health & Paediatrics
Dubbo Health Service

About the role
This is an opportunity to join a supportive and motivated physiotherapy team in a primarily acute care hospital in a large regional health service.

You will be the Senior Women’s Health and Paediatric Physiotherapist in Dubbo Hospital Physiotherapy Department providing a high-level of physiotherapy care for patients in these areas in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

You will be required to demonstrate advanced skills in the assessment and care of Women’s Health conditions, including ante and post-natal care, bladder and bowel continence and prolapses, and of Paediatric patients including developmental screening, hip dysplasia, torticollis and plagiocephaly and general musculoskeletal conditions.

You will also demonstrate the ability to provide general acute clinical care and discharge planning, clinical supervision and support for junior colleagues and students, as well as advising other colleagues across the district in Women’s Health and Paediatrics when needed.

You will have support from other experienced senior clinicians, will be involved in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on services, and identify, develop and lead quality improvement activities to ensure the delivery of high quality and consistent care.

Why choose this role?

Patients who really need your care - Dubbo Health Service is a major rural referral centre in Western NSW LHD, providing care for patients from an extremely large geographical area and without access to services widely available for most of the population elsewhere in NSW.  Care provided in Dubbo Hospital is often the foundation of patient recovery, with plans formulated at Dubbo following them as they return home.

Collaborative teamYou will share your skills and expertise with a strong Physiotherapy Team and more widely with a well-integrated multidisciplinary team who respect and appreciate your expertise.

Hospital facilitiesWith Dubbo Hospital recently redeveloped, most wards and clinics are bright and clinician-designed, with easy access to other services and teams.

Training and access to scholarships - Access to study leave and more scholarships than Metropolitain areas, and we encourage you to pursue education in your approved interest areas.

Dubbo!  Dubbo is affordable, has a friendly social scene, shopping, cafés, loads of team sports, movies, theatre, concerts, a large dam for water sports and outback national parks just waiting to be explored.  There are direct flights to Sydney / Brisbane / Melbourne.  You will be very welcome here.
