About the role
If you have a special interest and experience in exercise and movement for people living with cancer, this is the opportunity for you!
This role is focused on post-operative rehabilitation and the use of physical activity to improve the wellbeing of patients to relieve the symptoms and side effects of cancer and certain cancer treatments. You will encourage patients to rebuild their strength and endurance, improve and maintain fatigue, bone density and weight, as well as assisting patients to increase mobility after surgery.
You will be a part of the multidisciplinary team at Daffodil Cottage, which is a 9 chair outpatient clinic within Bathurst Health Service. You will work closely with Allied Health professionals, Registered Nurses and Oncologists. You will be an integral member of the community where you will see the results of your care, build client relationships and see the appreciation of the community for the role you play in their health.
