About the role
The Transit Lounge Registered Nurse will assist with patient flow within the facility by caring for patients waiting for discharge. This may also include managing patients who are in transit to other areas of the hospital such as day surgery.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team working together to help coordinate a safe discharge for patients from hospital.
Some responsibilities include collecting patients from the wards, taking observations, organising discharge paperwork and prescriptions, and scheduling follow up appointments.
The Transit Lounge normally operates from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
