- Current Authority to Practise as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), current licence to drive in NSW with the ability to drive for work purposes, and hold an immunisation certificate or willingness to obtainwithin 3 months of employment.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the principles of Primary Health Care, integrated care and partnerships and chronic disease management.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means; and sound interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
- An understanding of evidence-based, patient centred care and demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team to plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate care for individuals/groups and healthcare programs.
- Recent clinical experience relevant to the position and commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice, including a demonstrated understanding of the principles of chronic disease management and the benefits of exercise to improve health outcomes, particularly in high risk populations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise workload and deliver care with integrity and accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to practice in accordance with Registered Nurse Standards of Practice, Code of ethics for Nurses, code of Professional Conduct for Nurses (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia).
