About the role
We are currently seeking applications from Registered Nurses to join our Primary & Community Health team at Wellington.  Applicants must have previous nursing experience, have excellent communication skills, work well within a team and be willing to work weekends when required.

This role involves providing care to patients within the community, patients presenting to the Ambulatory Care Unit and working within the Opioid Treatment Program administering medications.  You will work in conjunction with an experienced multidisciplinary team, General Practitioners and Visiting Medical Officers, nursing staff and visiting palliative care specialist.

Ideally, applicants will have knowledge and skills in the areas of wound management, stoma care, catheter care, palliative care and/or community nursing.

Wellington Community Health, Ambulatory Care Unit is located in Wellington Health Service and is also responsible for the day to day running of the Opioid Treatment Program.

Wellington Health Service (WHS) is a 12 bed inpatient facility with a busy Emergency Department.  Also included in the services offered at WHS is a Dialysis Unit and an amazing Allied Health Team including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Mental Health, Dietetics, Speech Therapy, Diabetes Education, Chronic Care, Child & Family Health & Aboriginal Health.
