About the role
Wellington Health Service is seeking applications from experienced Registered Nurses to work in our Emergency Department and Acute Ward to provide support and leadership within the Nursing Team.
Successful applicants must work well within a team environment as well as autonomously, have the ability to prioritise their workload to ensure effective and safe patient care, and be willing to undertake further education and training as required to work in a rural/remote Emergency Department.
Previous acute nursing experience is preferred whilst having experience in rural/remote emergency nursing, including triage, would be advantageous. You must be able to show a good understanding of clinical care, including patient deterioration and escalation of care.
Applicants must be willing and able to participate in rotating shifts including weekend and public holiday rosters, as required.
