About the opportunity

A vacancy exists for a motivated, enthusiastic radiographer to join our team for a full time 12 month maternity relief position.

The Medical Imaging Department at Dubbo Health Service is a large provider of Medical Imaging services in Western NSW LHD. This role will provide high quality imaging services to residents of Dubbo and surrounding communities. Other Clinical modalities include within the department include general x-ray, CT, general fluoroscopy and Interventional Radiology including angiography. With the move to a new department in early 2020 MRI will be added.

Medical Imaging services in Western NSW operate as a district wide service. This position will report to the Chief radiographer – Dubbo, who reports directly to the General Manager Imaging Services.

The Radiographer will work closely with other staff within medical imaging as well as throughout the hospital to ensure imaging services are provided in a timely manner with a high level of patient care.

To apply for this position, please address the following Selection Criteria

  1. Current Authority to Practise as a Diagnostic Radiographer with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current EPA radiation licence.
  2. Demonstrated effective clinical and non clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload.
  4. Demonstrated responsibility for own continuing professional development (CPD) and willingness and ability to train in new modalities within Medical Imaging as the opportunities arise.
  5. Current licence to drive in NSW with the ability to travel occasionally for work purposes.
