- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1). Post graduate qualifications in Education (eg Cert IV TAE) or equivalent, or commitment to obtain within 12 months.
- Demonstrated ability to practice in accordance with the Registered Nurse Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia).
- An understanding of patient centred care and demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team.
- Extensive recent clinical experience and advanced nursing skills in an acute environment and commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, delegate, and mentor others to deliver quality nursing care, with demonstrated understanding and experience of improving patient safety, reliability of care and patient experience using the Living Well Together Framework.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise workload and deliver care with integrity and accountability.
- Demonstrated experience delivering education and an understanding of adult learning and assessment principles.
- Demonstrated effective communication including verbal, written and interpersonal skills and information technology skills.
