To apply for this position, please address the following Selection Criteria

  1.  Current Authority to practise as a Dental Practitioner, (Division/Registration type: Dental Therapist or Oral Health Therapist) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), OR applicants who will be suitability qualified through course completion within four months of application closure may apply pending graduation and registration.
  2. Evidence of good clinical and patient management skills in the provision of dental care to children, and adults where appropriately trained.
  3. Commitment to work in rural NSW and understanding of issues related to working in Aboriginal communities and with rural communities.
  4. Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain positive and professional interpersonal communications.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work as an effective and collaborative member of a multidisciplinary dental clinic team in a range of settings including but not limited to public dental clinics and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations.
  6. Sound understanding of evidence-based oral health promotion and preventive dental programs and demonstrated commitment to same, across all age groups.
  7. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a digital dental environment, including but not limited to electronic oral health records, digital imaging and telehealth systems.
  8. Demonstrated commitment to provide regular outreach clinical services, including an ability and willingness to travel for work purposes, including driving long distances, occasional travel by light aircraft and some overnight stays. Evidence of a minimum NSW Class C Drivers Licence is required.
