To apply, please address the following Selection Criteria
- Australian citizen or permanent resident, or eligible for sponsorship as a permanent resident with medical qualifications eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Fellowship of the Australian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialist (State) Award or under the Health Insurance Act 1973 to practice as a specialist in emergency medicine.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and technical expertise in contemporary clinical practice in Emergency medicine.
- Demonstrated leadership, including excellent engagement and time management skills and negotiation skills; and a commitment to medical education, staff training and basic research.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate, implement and improve patient safety and quality, patient flow and continuum of care.
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication (both verbal and written) and familiarity with appropriate software applications both clinical and administrative or ability to quickly utilise new applications.
- Demonstrated commitment to the CORE values of NSW Health.
- Previous leadership role(s) in an Emergency department would be considered desirable.
