About the role
The Drug & Alcohol Clinician is part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for providing expert Drug & Alcohol clinical services in collaboration with consumers, carers and other care providers using an integrated and person centred approach.

As a Health Clinician you will provide Drug and Alcohol intake, assessments and treatment for clients seeking assistance with their substance use problems and/or comorbidity issues - provide clients who use drugs and alcohol and their families within a Harm Minimisation Framework.

A variety of psychosocial interventions are used, primarily evidence-based approach of Motivation Interviewing and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Drug & alcohol service actively collaborate with Mental Health Services in treatment planning and provision with shared care clients. Additionally, working with Opioid Treatment Program, MERIT program, consultation, and referral to other agencies for support or crisis management.

You will be working Monday – Friday – 8.30am – 5.00pm with likeminded people who are dedicated to providing the best evidence-based treatment to clients. Outreach services to areas including Wellington, Narromine and Gilgandra.
