Criteria
- Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and extensive relevant post-registration Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol (MHDA) nursing experience and relevant post-graduate qualifications at Masters level (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated leadership skills and people management skills with the ability to empower, motivate and manage employees to achieve service and professional goals through recognised service improvements and using change management principles.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary professional and industrial issues, standards and legislation as they apply to MHDA Nursing practice and workforce.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate professional standards, and develop and implement strategic and/or operational plans.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively as part of a senior management team and expertise at a senior level in the health environment.
- Demonstrated highly developed information technology, and communication and interpersonal skills including the ability for consultation, conflict management and resolution, negotiation, collaboration, persuasiveness and facilitation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the development of policies and practices, including requirements of the National Safety & Quality Health Standards, and develop an environment which promotes continuous improvement in practice and services.
- Current licence to drive in NSW and ability to travel throughout the district including overnight stays.
