Applicants will need to address the following Selection Criteria:
- Current Authority to practice as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Advanced operative skills, clinical reasoning and patient management skills in all aspects of general public sector dentistry, including proven ability to provide general dental care for patients under general anaesthetic in hospital settings.
- Strong commitment to work in rural NSW and understanding of issues related to working in Aboriginal communities and with rural communities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain positive and professional interpersonal communications across the dental team.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a clinic based dental team; and demonstrated history of working well as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary dental clinic team.
- Evidence of sound supervision and mentoring skills to supervise final year students on clinical placements; and commitment to doing so on a regular basis
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a digital dental environment, including but not limited to electronic oral health records, digital imaging and telehealth systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to provide regular outreach clinical services, including an ability and willingness to travel for work purposes, including driving long distances, occasional travel by light aircraft and some overnight stays. Evidence of a minimum NSW Class C Drivers Licence is required.
