About the role
The Western NSW LHD Rural Allied Health Assistant Program is a bespoke rural training experience designed to provide opportunity for participants to gain experience and skills, in a supported environment, to enhance therapy-based interventions into their local rural health facility and community.
A Rural Allied Health Assistant will be located at rural health service and will be supported by Allied Health clinicians, both locally and from within the Local Health District, to facilitate and support holistic care for patients and residents within their local networked area.
The Virtual Allied Health Service (vAHS) within the Western Virtual Division of Western NSW Local Health District, works within a multi-disciplinary team, physically located across the Health District. This team is highly collaborative to continually strive to provide comprehensive patient focused care.
