Administration Officer – Data Integrity Officer

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a data integrity role where you will be monitoring data in the NSW Health based systems, identifying incorrect or missing information and working with others to correct errors. You will produce data reports on a routine basis according to schedule or in response to requests. You will provide advice, training, and support to other staff members in data quality and promote data compliance. You will need to be able to meet deadlines and observe patient privacy & confidentiality. This is a collaborative position for a detail orientated individual.

A typical workday would include:

  •          Data Review and Reporting: reviewing any discrepancies or missing information in the system.
  •          Generate Daily Reports: Produce daily reports highlighting errors or missing information.
  •          Support Clinical and Administrative Staff: Respond to queries from Emergency Department (ED) staff.
  •          System Updates: Monitor and ensure that updates or changes to the systems are implemented and well-communicated to staff.
  •          Quality Assurance Participation: Engage in quality assurance programs, offering insights into potential improvements based on data trends.
  •          Data Correction and Training: correcting any identified data discrepancies and provide support and education sessions for ED staff


You will receive on the job training complemented by My Health Learning online courses, and be mentored and supported by the Health Information Manager.
