About the role

The successful applicant will work as part of the team at the Acacia Cottage Opioid Treatment Program, providing valuable administration support and customer service to the staff and consumers.

We are seeking a candidate who possess strong organisational and time management skills, attention to detail, high level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with consumers, families and clinicians. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Health Information systems as well as un understanding of Mental Health and other Drug Services would be an advantage.

The Administration Officer in the Drug and Alcohol service (Acacia Cottage) involves greeting clients, and visitors, managing phone and email inquiries, scheduling appointments, maintaining Healthroster and electronic records, supporting clinicians with data entry, correspondence and report formatting as well as coordinating internal processes including meetings, filing systems and stock orders. You will participate in team huddles or briefings to stay aligned with daily priorities.

You will be joining an inclusive, supportive team of 10 staff members, and will collaborate closely with clinical professionals to provide open communication, teamwork and respect. Staff enjoy a positive, inclusive culture that supports wellbeing and personal growth.

This position is typically Monday – Friday with standard business hours with flexibility for the successful candidate optional where appropriate with the service needs.
