Administration Officer – Youth Mental Health Initiative
Mental Health Drug & Alcohol - Dubbo

About the role
We are looking for a passionate Administration Officer to be part of a new Youth Mental Health Initiative (YMHI, pronounced ‘you-mee’) service. YMHI will support young people (aged 12-25) with complex mental health needs who are too acute or complex for primary care services but not unwell enough for acute services. YMHI will provide specialist community-based mental health care for these consumers and their carers.

YMHI clinicians will be co-located at headspace and will partner closely with headspace staff to deliver care to consumers. The YMHI team will be located at 3 sites across Western NSW (Cowra, Dubbo and Orange). Whilst each clinician will work within their own town, they will collaborate as a multidisciplinary team with their YMHI colleagues. The YMHI administration officer will be based at Dubbo and provide administrative support to the team.

YMHI seeks to be a genuinely culturally safe service, with all staff on a cultural learning journey. The YMHI model of care has been developed in consultation with Aboriginal staff and community and supports culturally safe ways of knowing, being and doing.

The role requires a high level of technological confidence, confidentiality and communication skills. A large component of the role will be providing virtual administrative support to team members located at different sites. The role also involves working closely with headspace staff and confidently using numerous software systems across both organisations.

The team is led by a passionate team leader who deeply values their team’s wellbeing alongside excellence of service provision.

YMHI administrative officer will work Monday to Friday 1pm-5pm.
