  1. Tertiary qualification in Journalism, English or medical-related field with experience in health, academic or research.

  2. Demonstrated professional and technical editorial experience (structural editing and copy editing and proofreading) for different outputs and communication channels and meticulous attention to detail

  3. Experience working with research, educational or academic content written by subject matter experts

  4. Knowledge of Australian Standards for Editing Practice and experience in using style guides.

  5. Ability to set priorities and monitor workflows and systems with the area of responsibility, including excellent organisational skills in planning, project management and delivery of high-quality output

  6. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with staff across the different NCIRS program areas and other stakeholders

  7. Advanced computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and reference management software (e.g. EndNote)

  8. Experience working with web content management systems.

ASARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) 3 doses are required for Category A positions (refer to NSW Policy Directive PD2022_030 Occupational Assessment Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases).

 

ASARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) 3 doses are highly recommended for all other health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
