Selection Criteria
- Postgraduate qualifications in data analytics or biostatistics and/or equivalent experience in working in a large complex environment.
- Substantial experience in statistical or data analytic methods, using R/SAS and Tidyverse, SQL or equivalent statistical packages, applied to the analysis of population health data.
- Experience handling complex data systems related to health or laboratory contexts.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team with ability to delegate effectively to achieve positive outcomes; demonstrated leadership skills with experience in developing the capability of a team, establishing, monitoring and ensuring achievement of clear performance objectives; coaching and advising staff, and fostering a collegial, professional work environment.
- Strong communications skills, including the ability to liaise with a diverse group of co-workers and others to interpret/deliver the information received or questions asked in a timely and effective manner.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- High level oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to prepare, review and edit correspondence, briefings, reports, research papers and project proposals, and able to interact effectively with policy officers, management and external stakeholders.

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliancy
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
