You will be working closely with the Audit Leadership Team (ALT) in delivering results through various assignments which include but not limited to:

  1. Undertaking comprehensive risk assessment and complete all internal audit scoping processes with key stakeholders
  2. Independently undertaking internal audits and reviews in line with agreed scope of works and timelines
  3. Meticulously compiling working papers in line with internal practices and quality assurance rules
  4. Compiling and reporting all audit observations to the Director of Internal Audit
  5. Drafting Internal Audit reports of all completed engagements
  6. Comply with all other written and assigned obligations.



What You'll Be Doing
To contribute, as a self-reliant and dependable member of the Internal Audit Team, by performing and completing assigned internal audits and reviews of systems and processes, providing professional and informed advice and information on control, risk and governance issues in order to add value to the effective operation of the Local Health District.

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications (degree level), membership of and working towards a qualification/s from professional bodies (e.g. ICA, CPA Australia, IIA) and/or equivalent work experience. Describe your commitment to ongoing professional development.
  2. Outline your experience auditing large and complex environments. (3-5 years experience is preferred but not required).
  3. Outline how you demonstrate that you are an independent, dependable, and effective team player with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills?
  4. How do you utilize modern tools and technologies to support continuous improvement within the team and the broader organisation as a whole?
  5. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
