To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.


  1. A Bachelors degrees in physics, medical physics or equivalent discipline from a tertiary institution in Australia or equivalent from overseas, per National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR) requirements.
  2. A PhD in physics, medical physics or equivalent discipline from a tertiary institution in Australia or equivalent from overseas (per NOOSR requirements).
  3. Research track record in areas of research interest to the department e.g. experience in development of imaging techniques for radiotherapy treatment planning and verification.
  4. Evidence of initiative and ability to prioritise amongst competing service requirements, and willing to work flexible work hours (early or late) at times, as required.
  5. Evidence of effective communication skills and history of research output both individually and in a multi-disciplinary research team.
  6. Evidence of high quality research output including publications, presentations and/or successful grant funding.
  7. Significant experience in radiation oncology physics and a demonstrated ability to achieve high standards of professional practice, along with evidence of a track record in commissioning radiotherapy equipment and/or implementation of new technologies.
