To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Demonstrated recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital/environment with ability and commitment to participate in the Emergency Department Nurse Development Program requirements including education and evaluation programs and working across all facilities within SWSLHD as allocated by the program.
  2. Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
  3. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
  4. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
  5. Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
  6. Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
  7. Effectively managing time to ensure the needs of patients and their families or  carers are met.
  8. Taking personal responsibility for acting in ways that consistently place the patient at the centre of care delivery in the face of conflicting priorities and agendas.
