About the Opportunity
South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a dedicated, outgoing and purpose driven Physiotherapist to join the Commonwealth Home Support Program team.
This program is an amazing opportunity for Physiotherapists to build on their experience by working with a diverse client base. This role isn’t your typical style of Physiotherapist – through this program you will be working with clients who have a wide range of challenges, and you will be able to work with clients with a specific goal in mind.
You will be working with clients on reabling them in their homes. Whilst working with the clients you will have the opportunity to view their life as a whole and work with them to achieve their vision of rehabilitation. You will have the chance to work with families and the wider community to provide a holistic approach to the client care.
This role is a true challenge and will allow you to develop skills which cannot be achieved in a private or hospital setting. You will be working amongst a team of Physiotherapists in an Allied Health team. You will become a part of your client’s life and see changes which will last a lifetime for these clients. This is a great way to facilitate your learning and build your skills for any future setting. You will be able to build positive working relationships with other community services and develop a rapport within the wider Local Health District services.

There are two full time positions, one based at the Fairfield Community Health Centre, and one based at the Camden Hospital. Please indicate your preference in your cover letter.
What You'll be Doing
To provide professional and high quality physiotherapy services to patients in SWSLHD. This includes clinical duties (assessment, treatment and education) and participation in professional development, clinical supervision and other relevant departmental activities and administrative duties.

- Current Physiotherapy registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated broad range of relevant physiotherapy clinical skills and experience
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication, computer skills and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and the application of evidence based practice
- Demonstrated knowledge and involvement in quality improvement activities.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
