What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and supporting a team of occupational therapists in a specialised inpatient setting.
  • Providing clinical supervision, mentoring, and guidance to Level 1/2 staff.
  • Ensuring timely, person-centred care, including documentation for NDIS and LTCS.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services.
  • Contributing to service planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Acting as a consultative resource for brain injury rehabilitation across the district.

  1. Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Demonstrated high level clinical expertise and knowledge of a wide range of clinical conditions in Neurological rehabilitation.
  3. Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement processes and involvement in service evaluation and development
  4. Demonstrated experience implementing evidence into practice and knowledge and/or experience in research
  5. Excellent time management skills and an ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  6. Demonstrated experience in the management, clinical supervision and mentoring of staff and/or students
  7. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively adapt to ongoing change to achieve health service outcomes
  8. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills including interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and computer literacy in a range of programs
  9. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
