To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. This is an Identified Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Position. Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent through parentage, identify as an Aboriginal person and/or Torres Strait Islander and be accepted in the community as such. Exemption is claimed under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
  2. Nursing (Registered Nurse): Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
    Occupational Therapy (Level 1/2): Current Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
    Social Work (Level 1/2): A Bachelor degree in Social Work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
    Psychology (Registered Psychologist): Current Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist.
    Counsellor (Level 1/2): A Bachelor degree in Health Science (Mental Health) through the Charles Sturt Graduate program.
  3. Demonstrated experience delivering culturally appropriate, evidence based, recovery orientated mental health interventions in Aboriginal communities.
  4. Ability to work independently and in consultation with the multidisciplinary team.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to the philosophy and practice consumers’ families and natural supports participating within the treatment process, as appropriate and in accordance with the NSW Mental Health Act 2007.
  6. Effective interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and personal resilience.
  7. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and competence in the use of information technology systems.
  8. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to implement the quality improvement process.
  9. Demonstrated commitment to evidence based practice and professional development.
