To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

1. Current medical practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellow of the RACMA and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
2. Senior management experience in a major health care institution, preferably a teaching facility
3. Outstanding oral and written communication, negotiation and problem solving skills.
4. Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
5. Thorough knowledge of systems and issues included in management of hospital medical services, staff specialists, VMOs, clinical academics and junior medical staff
6. Strong financial management skills
7. Knowledge and experience in management of clinical quality assurance, patient safety programs and medicolegal issues for hospital medical services
