About The Opportunity
South Western Sydney Local Health District is currently seeking a Data Network and Unified Communications Manager to lead, support and enhance the Data and UC networks within the district. What you'll be doing
The Data Network and Unified Communications Manager’s main objective is to provide strong leadership and strategic direction to both the Data Network and Unified Communications teams. This involves overseeing the delivery and maintenance of the data, voice, mobility, messaging, video conferencing and radio paging networks. In addition to their leadership duties, the incumbent is also required to possess advanced technical expertise and perform relevant technical tasks.

 

Where you'll be working
Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation.

The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.

Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney.

Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the University of NSW and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges.

Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries.

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, leadership and/or relevant industry experience in managing multiple teams and supporting a large data network and Unified Communications infrastructure environment.
  2. Proven track record in effectively managing staff, showcasing strong leadership capabilities. Skilled in employing various interpersonal styles and techniques to inspire and empower team members, fostering their commitment and drive towards accomplishing goals.
  3. Demonstrated extensive experience in the effective management and technical working knowledge in the design, configuration and support of a large complex ICT Data network infrastructure and Unified Communications environment, while ensuring Cyber Security requirements are met.
  4. Demonstrated experience in applying Data Networking and Unified Communications subject matter expert advice and project management knowledge to effectively lead and undertake complex ICT projects, which have critical importance and significant impact on organisational goals and objectives.
  5. Demonstrated planning, time management and organisational skills particularly in managing multiple complex and competing tasks and issues to ensure that customer expectations and deadlines are met.
  6. Demonstrated experience in liaising effectively and working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, to facilitate cooperation and support in achieving outcomes and to establish and maintain strong effective working relationships.
  7. Display a level of proficiency in analytical thinking, consistently generating well-founded solutions and weighing alternative courses of action. Capable of making logical and informed decisions by leveraging factual information and data analysis techniques.
  8. Possess strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills, including the ability to analyse client requirements, prepare comprehensive reports, interpret policies, procedures and guidelines, deliver impactful presentations in a clear concise manner to a variety of audiences and effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels.
  9. Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver's licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.
